MATT LUMSDAINE

BSc, CAT(c)

Matt is a Certified Athletic Therapist and Exercise Physiologist with over 12 years of experience in his related field.

Graduating from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology and minor studies in Kinesiology, Matt went on to further his studies and career at Camosun College where he was one of the first classes to graduate from the Athletic and Exercise Therapy program.

Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Matt has always had a passion for living, educating, and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. After a few years of working predominantly with various teams & events, he decided to focus his craft in the clinical world. After years between clinics, including a four year period as lead therapist for Camosun Chargers athletics and two further years as the senior therapist at Camosun’s student clinic, Matt branched out on his own into the mobile therapy world.

His values and philosophy incorporate evidence-based practice, patient education, modern therapeutic techniques and personalized rehabilitative exercise prescription. His ultimate goal is aimed to safely reduce the rehabilitation time and get the patient/athlete back to doing what it is they love and do best without pain, all while limiting the chance of future injury.

Matt prides himself on bridging the gap between modern approaches of neuro-orthopedic therapy and personalized, function-focused exercise prescription to meet the needs of everyone, no matter the level of ability and athleticism.

Matt delivers highly customized care and treatment plans featuring innovative approaches to recovery as quickly as possible based on his knowledge of pain-management, neuro-muscular, bio-mechanical and functional physiology.
